Amca Wraps $300mn Series B Funding on US Critical Component

AI Summary

In a time of an increasingly unstable geopolitical scenario and increased pressure on the legacy industrial base, America requires a faster, more durable way to engineer and qualify as well as manufacture critical defence as well as aviation components. A supply chain designed for a different era cannot compete with the speed, scale or agility needed to maintain the nation’s most critical systems.

On May 20, 2026, Amca wraps $300mn Series B funding to address this obstacle and speed up the establishment of America’s new industrial base. Amca incorporates engineering, technical data development, and qualification testing, as well as certified manufacturing capability, into one unified platform that can rapidly develop and manufacture mission-critical aerospace as well as defence components.

The round was led by Caffeinated Capital, the Series A lead for Amca, with substantial participation coming from Lightspeed Venture Partners along with continued support from current investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, Construct Capital, Lux Capital, and House Capital. This financing values Amca at over one billion dollars only eighteen months after its establishment, making it one of the most rapidly expanding companies in the aerospace and defence spectrum to accomplish this milestone.

Amca not only builds brand-new factories from scratch but also acquires and retools established certified manufacturers, sets up a brand-new engineering and software infrastructure, and quickly develops novel critical components prepared for immediate production. That will help revitalise a domestic supply chain hampered by decreasing capacity and competitive edge, extended lead times, and an ageing labour force.

Amca has grown rapidly over the past year. The company as of now has six critical component factories all over the country in California, Iowa, and New York, which include BC Systems, a power electronics supplier that supports several expanding classified defence programs. It also began a state-of-the-art testing and prototyping center in its corporate headquarters in the city of El Segundo. Amca has more than 123,000 square feet of online qualified manufacturing capacity in each of the major categories of critical components throughout these facilities, which includes the likes of hydraulics, avionics, power electronics, etc.

Notably, the company is also deploying RAPID, Amca’s vertically connected, AI-powered product development platform, across each of its manufacturing locations. RAPID is a single workflow system that integrates design engineering, technical documentation, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing support to reduce the time needed to transition production-grade hardware from creation into execution by over 67% in comparison with industry-standard lead times. RAPID has been used to engineer and qualify as well as produce standardised parts for major platforms such as the F-35 and commercial wide-body and narrow-body aircraft.

Amca’s products are supplied to leading aerospace and defence customers like Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Airbus, Honeywell, and Embraer, as well as Raytheon. The company supports U.S. military sustainment programs directly dealing with readiness-related shortages and decreasing supply sources.

As Amca wraps $300mn Series B funding, it intends to utilise the fresh funds to broaden RAPID across its manufacturing network, construct and acquire more manufacturing facilities across the country and expedite delivery of the components which are most critical to national readiness.

For decades, the industrial base of the United States has been less competitive and limited in capacity, leading to critical supply chains that are slow and hard to expand. Amca is building a new industrial base to tackle current bottlenecks. The new base will be quicker, spread out, multi-sourced, and prepared to accommodate the unprecedented manufacturing the country requires at scale.
