TDConnex, which is aย world leader when it comes toย micro-precision manufacturing, went ahead andย announced the launch of its sixth manufacturing facility on May 18, 2026. The new 800,000 sq ft purpose-built campus of TDConnex inย Xiamen, China,ย is focused on significantly boosting Metal Injection Moulding –ย MIMย capacity and the production of millions of high-precision micro-components for the most demanding technology innovators in the world.
The opening of the micro-precision Xiamen 6 factory in China is in accordance with theย strategic objective of developing manufacturing capabilities from TDConnex for tomorrowโs supply chain. The company today happens toย supportย the worldโs leading technology customers in operations throughout China and Singapore as well as India, with over 50 manufacturing capabilities fully integrated into oneย highly automated, large-scale production fabric โ what TDConnex terms asย hyperscale manufacturing.
It is well to be noted that Xiamen 6 is one of the largest single MIM capacity expansions when it comes toย the precision-manufacturing industry in recent years. The facility presents next-generation MIM production lines in terms ofย the smallest, most intricate, and high-strength metal parts utilised in premium consumer electronics.
The company now has one of the biggest dedicated MIM manufacturing footprints in the world, catering to the technology industry, complemented by theย existing MIM capacity of TDConnexย at its adjacent Xiamen campus.
Apparently, the new factory is located at No. 6 Dingshan East Road, Dongfu Street, Haicang District, Xiamen City, next to theย existing Xiamen campus of TDConnexย and is designed to share manufacturing capabilities as well as engineering know-how throughout the company’s regular operations.
The integrated footprint allows for a quicker ramp and greater depth of capability transfer between sites, as well as tighter operational coordination so asย to support theย global customer base of TDConnex.
It is worth noting that Micro-Precision Xiamen 6 Factory in China was built from the very foundationย in a mere four months, an accomplishment that speaks ofย TDConnexโs industry-leading agility in orderย to support theย most innovative technology customers in the world. Interestingly, the facility is already in productive operation and is completely dedicated to fulfilling current customer demand.ย Xiamen 6 is a true example of what TDConnex was established to do โ and that was toย deliver the speed and accuracy demanded by the most innovative technology customers of the world, opines theย CEO of TDConnex, Thanga Venkatachalam.
He adds that “Standing up a facility of this scale and capability, on the timelines our customers require, is a testament to the extraordinary people we have across our global operations and to the city and regional partners who have worked with us to create the new factory. As electronics become thinner, lighter, and more intelligent, demand for advanced micro-precision components and particularly the kind of high-strength miniaturised metal components MIM uniquely enables continues to accelerate. We are deeply grateful to our customers for their partnership, and we look forward to delivering for them as we continue to scale our capabilities globally to power the next generation of advanced electronics.”
Xiamen 6 was opened in a close partnership with the Haitou Group along with the backing of Xiamen City as well as Fujian provincial authorities, whose enduring collaboration with TDConnex has been crucial in growing theย Xiamen footprint of the companyย over the past decade. Once fully operational, Xiamen 6 is projected to create roughly 3,000 to 4,000 direct and indirect jobs throughout the region, further expandingย the role of TDConnexย in the local manufacturing environment.
This landmark is an element of a prolonged period of worldwide expansion for TDConnex. The company has been putting resources into expanding its 22-acre manufacturing campus basedย at SIPCOT in Tamil Nadu, India, where it is establishing advanced manufacturing capabilities to accommodate global technology customers. TDConnex keeps going to make investments in advanced manufacturing capacity, engineering depth and supply chain resilience for its international customers in China, Singapore, along with India.
