Recently, Hadrian Automation said it raised $1.37 billion in fresh equity financing. The company intends to use the funding to speed up the development of the domestic capacity necessary for U.S. military, aerospace manufacturing as well as industrial systems.
Chris Power, the Hadrian founder and CEO, said, “Production is now the frontline of deterrence. Americaโs ability to lead will depend on whether we can build, train, and scale faster. This financing allows Hadrian to accelerate building the Factories of the Future, expand into new mission-critical production capabilities, and invest in the technicians and engineers who will rebuild Americaโs industrial base.โ
Founded in 2020, Hadrian is constructing highly automated factories that make use of process engineering, AI, and ML as well as robotics. The Torrance, California-based companyโs stated target is to step up to reindustrialize America and also compete head-on with the industrial base of China.
Fastbrick Robotics – FBRย is based in Australia and should not be mistakenย with the Hadrian bricklaying robot from Peth, Australia. FBRย operates a 100,000-sq.-ft. facilityย in Torrance and is also coming up with variousย other production locations.
R&D and manufacturing capacitiesย to broaden
As per Hadrian, its latest round of financing will assist it in establishing new factories, boosting research and development, and also adding U.S. military, aerospace manufacturing capacity as it constructs the industrial infrastructure to provide complete mission-critical systems at pace and size.ย The company stated that demand for reputable U.S. manufacturing capacity keeps outpacing supply, and it continues to expand the AI-powered manufacturing network needed to come overย deterrence, accelerate delivery, and reclaim the capacity of America to build.
The capital will speed up theย ability of Hadrianย to deliver everything from precision parts to complete mission-critical systems, it stated. Hadrian claimed that its factories-as-a-serviceย model allows it to quickly ramp up production throughout munitions, shipbuilding, and various other high-priority programs.
Hadrian has rapidly widened its manufacturing footprint since its Series C round only a year back.ย New factories based inย Mesa, Arizona, and Muscle Shoals, Alabama, increased its capacity to slightly under 3 million sq. ft. across four sites. It said its growth is in areas vital to theย industrial future of America.
Over the coming year, Hadrian intends to open more factories and move into new production lines. This includes munitions as well as autonomous systems for national security requirements.
Hadrian also said it is developing a new model for the US manufacturing workforce. The company is recruiting and educating operators, engineers, and technologists to be employed within its factories, where software, robotics, and human ingenuity meet on the factory floor.
Hadrian is worth $7.8 billion
The funding from theย latest round of Hadrianย valued it at $7.87 billion. It is the second funding round for Hadrian in 2026. It raised investment in January 2026ย that valued it at $1.6 billion.
It is well to be noted that theย latest round was co-led by WCM Investment Management, Washington Harbour Partners, Valour Equity Partners, and 137 Ventures, as well as Baillie Gifford. The Strategic Investment Group of JPMorgan Chaseย was an anchor co-lead, investing viaย the Security and Resiliency Initiative of the firm.
Apparently, the round was also backed heavily by 1789 Capital, along withย Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, funds handled by Apollo and accounts recommended by T. Rowe Price Associates. Other investors consist of CapitalG, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, Lux Capital, Altimeter, and Construct Capital, as well as theย current investors.
